Precision Injection Molding of Parts Is Our Specialty

Otto Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG is an ISO 9001-certified medium-sized company specializing in the precision injection molding of parts. As a training company with approximately 30 employees, we can draw on over 60 years of experience in plastics manufacturing and in injection-molding sight glasses.

In addition to our own toolmaking facility and a production and storage hall for finished products and raw materials, we also have a separate, fire-protected tool storage facility. Continuous investment in the latest available technology ensures technological advancement and allows us to remain price-competitive.

Thanks to our flexibility and long-standing experience, we have built up a satisfied customer base. Today, Otto Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG is a modern and high-performance manufacturing company.

The company Otto Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1962 under the leadership of Otto Zimmermann as a purely plastics parts manufacturing business. Initially, the first parts were still produced in the company’s own basement.

The company grew, and a production hall with its own toolmaking facility was constructed. A generational change took place, with management being handed over to the sons, Willi & Peter Zimmermann.

The next step in growth was achieved through an expansion of the production hall by 200% (840 m² for plastics manufacturing, 380 m² for toolmaking). In 2018, the company generated a turnover of over €4 million.

A large portion of fires in industry and commerce occur in warehouses. In addition to loss of goods, they often lead to operational interruptions and supply bottlenecks. Therefore, we rely on preventive fire protection to minimize risks. Since 2014, we have had a separate, fire-protected tool storage facility.

In 2022, Otto Zimmermann GmbH celebrated 60 years – a reason to reflect on past successes while simultaneously moving forward with full energy.

In 2023, Otto Zimmermann GmbH switched from the classic tactile 2D profilometer from Keyence to a state-of-the-art, contactless Keyence 3D profilometer, thereby improving accuracy and measurement processes.

In 2027, Otto Zimmermann GmbH will celebrate its 65th anniversary, reflecting on a successful company history as well as forward-looking development.

We are aware of our responsibility toward the environment. For this reason, we are always striving to minimize environmental impact across all areas of our company, including tool and moldmaking as well as injection molding production.

What do we do to produce as sustainably as possible?

  • Almost all thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers are fully processed to avoid waste and rejects.
  • Process control is carried out efficiently, meaning minimal effort with maximum effectiveness.
  • We use particularly efficient and economical machines.
  • Whenever possible, we use recycled materials.
